However, this artistic table is misleading. Echo is wall-mounted to give the allusion of floating furniture. Echo is a contemporary accessory that also serves as a small storage area with one drawer and ample shelving space. **Implications** - The idea of floating objects is currently popular in home decor, as the concept allows the designer to play off a feeling of more space, making it a very effective trend. The floating trend also carries a magical appeal as the idea of 'gravity-defying' products are not commonly found, making them unique finds in home decor. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.7/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 74% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Floating Furniture:** The concept of floating furniture is popular in home decor, creating the illusion of more space and a magical appeal. - **Gravity-defying Design:** Designs that appear to defy gravity, like the Echo night stand, are unique and captivating in home decor. - **Wall-mounted Furniture:** The use of wall-mounted furniture, like the Echo night stand, maximizes space and adds a modern touch to interiors. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can capitalize on the trend of floating and gravity-defying furniture to create unique and visually appealing spaces. - **Home Furniture:** The home furniture industry can explore wall-mounted designs like the Echo night stand to offer customers products that maximize space and provide a modern aesthetic. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can incorporate floating furniture and gravity-defying designs to offer customers unique and visually striking accessories for their living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Floating Component Dining Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floating-top-chair.md) - [Curvaceous Floating Illusion Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wave-collection-2.md) - [Floating Architectural Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/1949-protractor-desk.md) - [Industrial Floating Bedside Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tu-bedside-table.md) - [Curvaceous Storage-Focused Nightstands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cozy-night-stand.md) - [Wall-Mounted Two-Legged Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/instable-side-table.md) - [Moveable Wave-Inspired Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/side-table-concept.md) - [Sculptural Gravity Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floating-bench.md) - [Fabric-Like Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tablecloth-side-table.md)
