The Ergonomic Couch Bowl is designed with an indentation on the bottom portion of the bowl that allows the fingers to be rested in it in order to better ensure you don't lose your [grip when sitting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pinch-hold) in the living room or carrying the bowl. The eating bowls are also designed with a notch in the lip that does double duty as being a perfect spot to rest your thumb when holding the bowl as well as acting as a [spoon rest](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/evolving-spoon) between bites of your meal. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.4/10 - Popularity: 23% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Kitchen](https://www.trendhunter.com/kitchen) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Ergonomic Eating Bowls:** Designing eating bowls with ergonomic features to improve grip and stability. - **Indented Bottom Bowls:** Creating bowls with indentations on the bottom for fingers to rest on, providing a secure grip. - **Notched Lip Bowls:** Incorporating notches in the lip of bowls as a thumb rest and spoon rest. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Kitchenware:** Developing innovative kitchenware that enhances the user experience and addresses common challenges. - **Home Furnishings:** Integrating functional design elements into home furnishings to improve daily interactions and convenience. - **E-commerce:** Offering ergonomic eating bowls as part of an online shopping experience that caters to consumers seeking practical and efficient dining solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ergonomic Instant Noodle Forks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nendo-x-nissin-the-fork.md) - [Dinosaur-Inspired Cat Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dino-bowl.md) - [Health-Focused Pet Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doggy-diner.md) - [Ergonomic Pet Snack Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elevated-complete.md) - [Ergonomically Designed Mugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ergonomically-designed-mug.md) - [Freshness-Preserving Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eternos-serving-bowl.md) - [Spill-Proof Kibble Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kibble-katcher.md) - [Mess-Avoiding Dipping Dishes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dipidup.md) - [Modern Dog Bowl Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-dog-bowl.md)
