When people wish to copy data from one USB stick to another, they always need a laptop or desktop available to do so. Called the Share Box, this concept would enable the two [portable hard drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planck-studio-ssd) to make transfers between themselves, minimizing necessary equipment, steps and time. Yulim Choi and Eunsoo Kim have designed a 2.5cm cubed data storage device with a USB drive and port on opposite sides. This feature enables you to connect a series of the gadgets together for [efficient file sharing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/speedy-share). Plug at least a pair of these [easy-transfer flash drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sandisk-1) into each other; a simple swipe of your finger along the sensored surfaces will initiate an instant copy. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 11% | Activity: 32% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Effortless File Sharing:** Opportunity to create more intuitive file transfer technologies that eliminate computer usage. - **USB Sharing Across Devices:** Opportunity to expand file sharing capabilities to more types of devices, including mobile and wearable technology. - **Sensor-based File Transfer:** Opportunity to innovate with sensor-based file transfer technologies that minimize the user's effort during file sharing. ### Who This Affects Most - **Data Storage:** There is an opportunity for companies to create cost-effective and innovative data storage options with simple file sharing features. - **Technology Hardware:** Technology hardware companies can explore new product designs that eliminate the need for computer usage during file sharing. - **IT Consulting:** IT consulting companies can identify opportunities for clients to streamline file transfer processes and reduce hardware investments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Four-Way Connective Flash Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/centralspot-innovation.md) - [Icon-Shaped USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folderdrive.md) - [Laptop-Fitted USB Stick Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saint-antoine.md) - [Hyper-Efficient Connectivity Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/save-usb-ssd-hub.md) - [Convenient Computer Connectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thunderbolt-share.md) - [Automated File Backup Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/synology-beedrive.md) - [Desk-Mounted Hard Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hard-drive-concept.md) - [Folder-Shaped Hard Drive Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folder-external-hard-disk.md) - [Encrypted File Transfer Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/encloak-hide.md)
