# Seat-Locked Luggage Easy Lock Suitcase Latches to Armrests, Relieving You of Airport Theft Lookout By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-10-22 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/easy-lock-suitcase References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2013/10/21/don’t-steal-this-bag/) & [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/AUGUSTFROG) Having traveled quite a bit on my own, I can certainly appreciate the value of the Easy Lock Suitcase. Whether you're at an airport, a train station, a bus depot or a ferry terminal, there are many reasons why you may want to be temporarily relieved of the burden of your bag. Next time you go to the restroom, buy a snack, purchase a ticket or take a nap, you can feel secure that your [personal belongings are safely chained](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pelican-atx-carryon) to a waiting room chair or a post. To use Jae Jin Lee's invention, simply extend the [wheeled suitcase's retractable handle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tank-series), pivot it 90 degrees, rotate the grip and clasp it around something sturdy. The Easy Lock Suitcase uses a [combination lock](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/watchlock-clasp) to remain fastened and unstealable. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 51% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Seat-locked Luggage:** The trend of seat-locked luggage presents an opportunity for companies to develop a line of secure luggage that can be easily locked and secured to stationary objects. - **Personal Security Devices:** The trend of personal security devices presents an opportunity for companies to develop innovative methods to safeguard personal belongings. - **Smart Luggage:** The trend of smart luggage presents an opportunity for companies to integrate features like fingerprint locks, GPS tracking and built-in alarms that can increase the security of luggage while traveling. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Travel and Tourism:** The travel and tourism industry can benefit from launching a new line of secure luggage that can provide a sense of safety and security to travelers. - **Consumer Electronics:** The consumer electronics industry can develop advanced security devices for personal belongings that can be integrated into luggage, clothing or other accessories. - **Security and Surveillance:** The security and surveillance industry can integrate smart technologies into luggage, bags, and other personal items to ensure a higher level of personal security and prevent theft or loss of valuable items. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stroller-Equipped Suitcase Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/easy-journey-suitcase.md) - [Trackable Smart Luggage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casesafe.md) - [Anti-Theft Backpack Straps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loopit.md) - [Alarm-Equipped Laptop Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antitheft-laptop-device.md) - [Discreet Trackable Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qantas-x-july.md) - [Lounge Chair Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bagletti-suitcase.md) - [Antitheft Storage Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/afford-chair.md) - [See-Through Ride-On Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airwheel-suitcase.md) - [Stroller-Equipped Suitcase Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/easy-journey-travel-case.md)
