# Precise Circle-Drawing Instruments The 'Easy-to-View Compass' Draws Circles with Strict Precision By Alexander Lam | Published 2013-05-16 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/easy-compass References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2013/05/14/a-perfect-circle/) Drawing circles with a precise radius can be tedious but the 'Easy-to-View Compass' can help you draw that perfect circle every time. With a LCD screen positioned at the axis of this compass, the precise radius of your circle is visible at all times. The compass automatically measures the radius of the circle you're drawing so that there's no need to constantly readjust. The 'Easy-to-View Compass' works with a [simple three step process](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lidar). You begin by powering on the compass in a closed position with the power button located at the top. Then, you spread the compass to the radius that's needed. After you get the compass spread to the required radius, just tighten the middle bolt to set the compass there. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 43% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Easy-to-view Compass:** Opportunity for incorporating LCD screens into traditional tools for real-time data display. - **Precise Circle-drawing:** Demand for tools that automate and simplify precise circle-drawing processes. - **Automatic Radius Measurement:** Growing interest in tools that can automatically measure and adjust the radius of circles being drawn. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Tool Manufacturing:** Potential to develop and market innovative precision tools that incorporate LCD screens for enhanced functionality. - **Education:** Opportunity to create specialized compasses with automatic radius measurement for use in math and art classes. - **Design and Architecture:** Potential for integrating the 'Easy-to-View Compass' technology into computer-aided design (CAD) software for more accurate and efficient circle drawing. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Directional Compass Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/homing-compass.md) - [Compact Precise Sketching Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/horizon-helvetica.md) - [Dual-Functioning Mechanical Pencils](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-penpass.md) - [Sleek Rounded Measuring Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enso-tape.md) - [Magnetic Measuring Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tisolver.md) - [Durably Waterproof Compasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/waterproof-compass.md) - [Geometric Dynamic Stationary](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hexagonal-ruler.md) - [Magnifying Measurement Rulers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fun-sizes-ruler.md) - [Digital Measuring Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lidar.md)
