This Easter DIY project by lifestyle blog Julep is quick, easy and inexpensive. The project is fun for the whole family and requires empty egg cartons, acrylic paints and a paint brush as its supplies.

Once your empty egg cartons are ready, paint them in a variety of vibrant hues, using pastels as a preferred palette. Whether sticking to one color of dividing each carton in half with varying colors, the finished product will look eye-catching and fun.

While egg cartons may usually end up in the trash for most of us, this Easter DIY project finds a new use for them and is a great way to decorate a holiday party while staying on a budget.
