This one-of-a-kind remote was comprised by french technology design company ACCeS. The remote works by selecting programs through [thought patterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emteq-labs-sense). It looks at what you are feeling and thinking about and will match the closest channel on the TV to those thoughts. The 'E-Mote Tv' remote is [worn over the ear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/active-noisecancelling-earphones) with close proximity to the head. The temple’s sensor on the E-Mote scans your [neuron activity](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neurable-x-hyperx). Then, in a fraction of a second, the information is translated into a language your television will understand using infrared technology. To some people the 'E-Mote Tv remote' may seem very futuristic, but it is set to be released in May of this year. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 41% | Activity: 73% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Thought-powered Remotes:** Opportunity for developing thought-controlled remote control devices. - **Neuron Activity Sensing:** Potential for creating technologies that can scan and interpret neuron activity for various applications. - **Infrared Translation Technology:** Disruptive innovation possibilities in translating neurological signals into commands for electronic devices. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Technology Design:** Opportunity for technology design companies to create innovative remote control devices like the 'E-Mote Tv' remote. - **Consumer Electronics:** Potential for integrating thought-controlled remotes into consumer electronic devices, opening up new interaction possibilities. - **Healthcare:** Application of neuron activity sensing technology in healthcare for diagnosing and treating neurological conditions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Brainwave-Connected Tech Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/myndplay-myndhub.md) - [Radio Wave-Powered Remotes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-eco-remote.md) - [Mind-Controlled Smart Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/migu-headband.md) - [T-Shaped Remote Controls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sightless-remote-control.md) - [Transforming TV Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/controller-and-remote.md) - [Solar-Powered Remote Controls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/omni-remotes-model-p.md) - [Assistive Brain-Sensing Headsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/think2switch.md) - [Gesture-Controlled Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spatial-touch.md) - [Universal Smart Home Remotes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/switchbot-universal-remote.md)
