Jonathan Bigot looked primarily at operation and aesthetics in order to modernize the lifesaving piece of equipment. Most importantly, this house [fire smotherer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fire-detection-and-suppression) has been designed so that it can be managed with a single hand. This makes it possible for those with some physical disabilities to use it. A bright red handle is highly visible and easily graspable, with a pin and a trigger that you can control with little effort. The grip takes a triangular form, emulating the universal emergency and danger symbol. It's light enough to hold and incorporates refillable cartridges for all types of fires. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 30% | Activity: 20% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Single-handed Fire Extinguishers:** Opportunity to create new designs for fire extinguishers that can be easily used with a single hand, improving accessibility for individuals with disabilities. - **Refillable Fire Extinguishers:** Opportunity to develop new refillable cartridges technology that can handle all types of fires, improving the sustainability of the firefighting industry. - **Aesthetic Fire Extinguishers:** Opportunity to incorporate more pleasing and modern design elements into fire extinguishers, improving the visibility and accessibility of the equipment in emergencies. ### Where This Applies - **Firefighting Equipment Manufacturing:** Innovations in fire extinguishers could have enormous implications for firefighting equipment manufacturing, resulting in new product lines and revenue streams. - **Disaster Preparedness & Emergency Response Services:** New designs for fire extinguishers that are easily accessible and sustainable could enhance emergency response services and disaster preparedness, reducing loss of life and property in emergency situations. - **Design & Engineering:** Creating aesthetically pleasing and efficient fire extinguishers requires advances in design and engineering, creating new opportunities and challenges for professionals in these fields. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Shield-Style Fire Extinguishers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hussechuck-and-shield.md) - [Sustainable Fire Extinguishers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/checkfire-ltd.md) - [In-House Fire Prevention Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fire-fighter.md) - [Cubic Handheld Vacuum Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dust-box-vacuum-cleaner.md) - [Flame-Resistant Firefighting Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firefighting-drones.md) - [Design-Conscious Vacuum Cleaners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airsign-vacuum.md) - [Next-Gen Wildfire Rescue Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firefly-x01-fire-rescue-drone.md) - [Reimagined Sculptural Vacuum Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doric-vacuum-cleaner.md) - [Fire Suppression Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fire-detection-and-suppression.md)
