# Lamp-Inspired Taps This Dynamic Faucet Takes Comprises a Jointed Arm for Convenient Flexibility By Amelia Roblin | Published 2017-05-22 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dynamic-faucet References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/a-kitchen-faucet-that-works-hard-and-looks-good-doing-it/) & [brizo](https://www.brizo.com/kitchen/product/63225LF-PC) You will immediately notice a few extra moving parts associated with this dynamic faucet, yet the advantages of this clever design are not obvious at a glance. [Brizo's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brizo-odin) Artesso tap was modelled on the iconic [Luxo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/animationinspired-led-lamp) lamp with its craning extension, facilitating a broad range of angles. The overarching part that you see is actually a pliable pipe that can be directed anywhere inside the sink, thanks to the dextrous design. Accompanying the sharp industrial appearance of the single handle articulating kitchen faucet is the invisible technology that makes it all the more functional. When your hands or full or you've made a mess, you can simply tap anywhere on the head of the fixture and the [touch-sensitive feature](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chicago-faucet-company) will turn on the water. This dynamic faucet reminds us that the most commonplace of objects especially should be regularly reconsidered for improved usability. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.4/10 - Popularity: 23% | Activity: 12% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Dynamic Faucet Design:** Designing faucets with extra moving parts, like pliable pipes, that provide convenience and flexibility to consumers. - **Touch-sensitive Fixtures:** Incorporating invisible technology, like touch-sensitivity, into everyday fixtures in order to provide consumers with added functionality. - **Industrial-inspired Aesthetics:** Drawing inspiration from industrial designs, like the iconic Luxo lamp, to create modern and visually striking everyday objects. ### Who This Affects Most - **Plumbing:** Incorporating clever design features, like pliable pipes and touch-sensitivity, into everyday plumbing fixtures to provide added convenience and functionality to consumers. - **Home Decor:** Drawing inspiration from iconic industrial designs, like the Luxo lamp, to create visually striking and unique home decor products. - **Kitchen Appliances:** Incorporating dynamic and flexible design features, like pliable pipes, into kitchen appliances, like faucets, to provide consumers with a more customizable and convenient experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Touch-Free Kitchen Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kraus-bolden.md) - [Ultra-Modern Sliding Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desliz-faucet.md) - [Dripping Faucet-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-light-fixture.md) - [Touch-Activated Professional Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brizo-odin.md) - [Touchless Smart Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-faucet-with-motion-control.md) - [Stealthy Limited-Edition Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/formation-01.md) - [Motion-Controlled Smart Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-faucets.md) - [Designer Water Purifier Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumos-water-purifier.md) - [Design-Forward Kitchen Faucet Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jema-collection.md)
