We tend to think of robots as walking about universities, or as building cars in high-tech assembly lines. The last place we would probably look would be a Chinese farming village.

Enter Wu Yulu. Without any secondary education, this tinkerer created a [robot man to pull his rickshaw](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-movr) called the “30 Second Son” (because that’s how long he works before needing a ‘rest’ or being ‘recharged.’) By the sounds of it, he looks like he’s wound up to get him going.

Yulu, whose property is covered with [various robots and creations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/figure-03), has earned the award of “China’s Cleverist Farmer Inventor” and is now working with universities and companies to develop various robots.
