# Sophisticated Geometric Bedding The DWR Diamond Sheet Set are Inspired by Building Materials By Meghan Young | Published 2013-02-13 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dwr-diamond-sheet-set References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/dwr-diamond-sheet-set-by-judy-white-studio) & [judywhitestudio](http://judywhitestudio.com/) The [DWR](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wave-house-1) Diamond Sheet Set brings a little bit of a colorful edge to [sophisticated bedding](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jeremiah-brent). Clearly inspired by the [geometric motif](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/discorectangle) being adopted by many different industries of late, it introduces a little more excitement between the sheets, at least when it comes to inanimate objects. Designed by Judy White Studio for Design Within Reach, the DWR Diamond Sheet Set is made using 200-thread-count Egyptian long-staple cotton percale that has been finished with a simple pearl edge stitch finishing each edge. So, they are not only nice to look at, but incredibly pleasant to touch as well. Specifically influenced by the Case Study House, the colors of the DWR Diamond Sheet Set was modeled after building materials like stucco, glass and slate. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 35% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Geometric Bedding:** The adoption of geometric motifs in different industries inspires opportunities to create sophisticated bedding that introduces a little more excitement between the sheets. - **Colorful Bedding:** Incorporating colors inspired by building materials offers opportunities to create unique and sophisticated bedding designs. - **Percale Cotton Bedding:** Using high-quality materials such as Egyptian long-staple cotton offers opportunities to create luxurious and comfortable bedding. ### Where This Applies - **Interior Design:** The use of geometric motifs and unique color combinations creates opportunities for innovation in bedding design within the interior design industry. - **Textile Industry:** The incorporation of high-quality materials such as Egyptian long-staple cotton offers opportunities for innovative bedding designs within the textile industry. - **Home Decor Industry:** The use of innovative and unique bedding designs inspired by building materials offers opportunities for the home decor industry to provide stylish and sophisticated products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Versatile Grey-Striped Bedding](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/marks-and-spencers.md) - [Designer Bedding Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brooklinen-x-dabito.md) - [Threaded Bedlinen Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/300thread-count.md) - [Luxe Cotton Sheet Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gentlesoft-organic-cotton-sheet-set.md) - [Extremely Soft Bed Sheets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-bed-sheet.md) - [Regenerative Cotton Bed Sheets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/castle-home.md) - [Multifaceted Luxury Linens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pom-pom-at-home.md) - [Luxurious Cooling Sheets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/percale-sheets.md) - [Premium Percale Bedding](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sferras-grande-hotel-duvet-cove.md)
