# Compact Golf Clubs The DV8 Sports Golf Clubs Fit into a Lightweight Backpack By Meghan Young | Published 2014-06-25 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dv8-sports-golf-clubs References: [uncrate](http://uncrate.com/stuff/dv8-golf-clubs/) & [kickstarter](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dv8sports/dv8) The weather is nicer and the grass greener, that means a day at the golf course is in order and the DV8 Sports Golf Clubs help people enjoy a more hassle-free game. Traditional [golf clubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/callaway-golf) and bags are big, unwieldy and, simply put, a pain in the arse to carry around. There's a reason why [golf carts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ixi) exist and its not just because the course is so big. Packed into a [lifestyle backpack](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fadeaway-bag), the DV8 Sports Golf Clubs boast "a patented quick-change coupler, you can switch from a graphite to a steel shaft or from a 5-iron to a putter in under 3 seconds," reports Uncrate. Although some players might fear this will affect their game, there is no difference to performance. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 43% | Activity: 59% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Sports](https://www.trendhunter.com/sports) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Compact Golf Clubs:** Innovative golf clubs that fit into a lightweight backpack, providing convenience and ease of transport. - **Quick-change Coupler:** The use of a patented quick-change coupler allows for swift shaft and clubhead changes, enhancing customization and adaptability. - **Performance Optimization:** Advancements in design ensure that there is no compromise in performance despite the compact size of the clubs. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Sports Equipment Manufacturing:** Manufacturers specializing in golf equipment can explore opportunities to create compact and customizable clubs that cater to the convenience-focused market. - **Outdoor Recreation:** Companies operating in the outdoor recreation industry can offer innovative golf club solutions that enhance the overall experience for golf enthusiasts, allowing for portability and easy transportation. - **Retail and E-commerce:** Retailers and e-commerce platforms can tap into the trend of compact golf clubs by offering a wide range of options, providing golfers with increased convenience and choice. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Adjustable High-End Golf Clubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/x-gen5.md) - [Multi-Skill Golf Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/go-for-it-golf.md) - [Ultra-Lightweight Durable Golf Umbrellas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/golf-lite-umbrella.md) - [Weight-Optimized Golf Clubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stx-220.md) - [Golf-Themed Oversized Trunks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/louis-vuitton-5.md) - [Designer Golf Course Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tidivot.md) - [Reissued Golf Bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/7eleven-x-sunday-golf.md) - [Twistable Golf Ball Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/attomax-golf-pouch.md) - [Urban Modern Golf Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/head-golf-ss26.md)
