It is on display between September 14th to September 22nd at the [Old Royal Naval College](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/duo-1) in Greenwich. The installation is comprised of [suspended components](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curly-cube) that fuse together into a rectangular form that opens up into an archway through. Bulut explains, "Essentially, Duo is a portal, and all my works are portals, offering spaces for dimensional transition and equilibrium." She continues, "Imagine it like our body—fundamentally not a solid mass, but a sensor. It perceives and responds to stimuli by producing sounds and has sensory receptors that allow us to feel textures, heat, and cold. Similarly, Duo conceptually treats space as a mechanical body.” Image Credit: Melek Zeynep Bulut ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 30% | Freshness: 28% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Experiential Art Installations:** Creating immersive and interactive art installations that transform public spaces into sensory experiences. - **Architectural Art Fusion:** Blending architectural elements with artistic design to produce multifunctional structures that stimulate visual and sensory engagement. - **Suspended Design Techniques:** Utilizing suspended components in design to create floating, dynamic forms that invite exploration and interaction. ### Who This Affects Most - **Contemporary Art:** Innovative art installations that combine sensory elements are redefining the boundary between viewer and artwork. - **Architectural Design:** Incorporating artistic installations within architectural spaces creates unique, multifunctional environments that promote sensory engagement. - **Event Planning and Exhibitions:** Event organizers are leveraging immersive art installations to enhance visitor experience and create unforgettable, interactive displays. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Illuminated Suspended Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/duo-1.md) - [Immersive Public Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersive-public-art-installation.md) - [Duality-Exploring Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/design-duo-double-feature.md) - [Origami Lighting Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fungbedford.md) - [Suspended Lighting Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/suspended-lighting-installation.md) - [Monochromatic Sculptural Gateways](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-gateway.md) - [Interactive Maze Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delulu.md) - [Illuminated Curtained Light Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/making-the-invisible-visible.md) - [Reflective Architectural Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audi-origin.md)
