This is a [large-scale artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumens) which is in the [Old Royal Naval College](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/duo-installation) in London's Greenwich area. It is currently on display and will be showcased until November 3rd. The installation is comprised of [hanging features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-capsule-in-time) that come together to form a rectangular structure with an archway through it. Bulut shares, "Essentially, Duo is a portal. All my works are portals, offering spaces for dimensional transition and equilibrium [...] Imagine it like our body—fundamentally not a solid mass, but a sensor. It perceives and responds to stimuli by producing sounds and has sensory receptors that allow us to feel textures, heat, and cold. Similarly, Duo conceptually treats space as a mechanical body.” Image Credit: Mark Cocksledge ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.8/10 - Popularity: 74% | Activity: 40% | Freshness: 30% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Engagement Through Interactive Art:** Art installations integrating sensory stimuli provide a novel way for audiences to interact with and experience art. - **Immersive Urban Installations:** Large-scale public artworks offering immersive experiences can transform urban spaces into cultural hotspots. - **Temporal Art Exhibits:** Temporary art displays attract attention and drive foot traffic to specific areas, creating dynamic cultural events. ### Where This Applies - **Urban Development:** Integrating artistic installations into urban planning projects can boost community engagement and aesthetic appeal. - **Art and Culture:** Innovative public art installations are reshaping how communities engage with cultural expressions in public spaces. - **Event Management:** Curating temporary art events and installations can generate excitement and bring new audiences to local venues. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hanging Portal-Like Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/duo-installation.md) - [Illuminated Curtained Light Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/making-the-invisible-visible.md) - [Immersive Public Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersive-public-art-installation.md) - [Classic Architecture-Inspired Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monumental-collection.md) - [Theatrical Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/exodus-exhibition.md) - [Duality-Exploring Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/design-duo-double-feature.md) - [Urban Soundscape Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moment-installation.md) - [Structural Two-Part Lighting Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luno-lamp.md) - [Organic Illuminated Artful Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cages-mobiles-and-rock.md)
