# Bagless Travel Services DUFL Cleans Clothes, Packs and Ships a Traveler's Suitcase By Laura McQuarrie | Published 2015-05-02 | Business Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dufl References: [dufl](http://www.dufl.com/) & [dufl](http://www.dufl.com/) Packing, carting around luggage and waiting at baggage claim seem like essential parts of any travel experience, but DUFL is a handling service that will handle all of these things for you. To start, DUFL has you download the app and register an account. From there, DUFL sends its new users a [large suitcase](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/capsule-luggage) to fill with clothing that they typically wear during travel. These items are then shipped back to the DUFL warehouse for cleaning, safe keeping and retrieval when needed on-demand. When it's time to hit the road, a user selects which items of clothing they want to take with them from the in-app [virtual closet](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rakun-packing). Then, a destination is specified and DUFL makes arrangements for the luggage to meet you there. At the end of a trip, this service also takes care of [pick-up, cleaning and unpacking](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-borrow-bag-library) so that travelers are left with a lighter load and less time spent waiting in lines at the airport. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.7/10 - Popularity: 68% | Activity: 95% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Business](https://www.trendhunter.com/business) > [New Ventures](https://www.trendhunter.com/newventures) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Bagless Travel Services:** DUFL's handling service eliminates the need for travelers to pack and carry their luggage, offering convenience and time-saving benefits. - **On-demand Virtual Closets:** DUFL's in-app virtual closet allows users to select and retrieve their desired clothing items for each trip, providing a personalized and hassle-free packing experience. - **Full-service Travel Concierge:** DUFL takes care of pick-up, cleaning, and unpacking, freeing up travelers from tedious tasks and enhancing their overall travel experience. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Travel and Hospitality:** DUFL disrupts the traditional travel and hospitality industry by offering a revolutionary approach to luggage handling and customer convenience. - **E-commerce and Delivery Services:** DUFL's efficient and reliable shipping and delivery system presents an opportunity for innovation and improvement within the e-commerce and delivery services sectors. - **Cleaning and Laundry Services:** DUFL's on-demand cleaning and laundry solutions open up possibilities for disruption and improvement in the cleaning and laundry services industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Complimentary Unpacking Services](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unpacking-service.md) - [Closet-Equipped Luggage Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flightable-closet.md) - [Streamlined Packing Companions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/packbuddy.md) - [Digital Travel Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/packd.md) - [Time-Saving Travel Hangers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timesaving-travel-hanger.md) - [Travel Planning Assistants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/time2pack.md) - [Wardrobe-Style Luggage Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drobe-luggage.md) - [Ultra-Modern Multifunctional Luggages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luggical.md) - [Convenient Garment Bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/halfday-travel-roller-bag.md)
