# Cute Spherical Lighting The Duesphere Family is Inspired by Forest Floor Fungi By Meghan Young | Published 2010-10-02 | Eco Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/duesphere-family References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2010/09/30/natures-spheres/) & [notedesignstudio.se](http://www.notedesignstudio.se) I want the entire Duesphere Family just for its undeniable cute factor. Inspired by nature ([small forest floor fungi organisms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lunar-lamp-concept) to be exact) they do in fact form a tight-knit family. Designed by NOTE Design Studio, the Duesphere Family is made out of [hand-blown glass and wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuloa). These low energy lights will certainly add a [whimsical, fairy-like glow](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bamboo-forest-glss) throughout your home. I can even imagine that they would look particularly lovely outdoors. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 44% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Cute Lighting:** Opportunity for creating cute and whimsical lighting options for homes and outdoor spaces. - **Nature-inspired Design:** Opportunity for designing products that are inspired by elements of nature, such as forest floor fungi. - **Low Energy Lighting:** Opportunity for developing energy-efficient lighting solutions for homes and outdoor areas. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Lighting:** Opportunity for the lighting industry to create new designs inspired by nature and incorporating low-energy technology. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for the home decor industry to offer unique and visually appealing lighting options. - **Outdoor Living:** Opportunity for the outdoor living industry to provide lighting solutions that create a magical and whimsical atmosphere. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mushroom-Inspired Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humble-lights.md) - [Mushroom-Inspired Outdoor Light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinno.md) - [Nature-Inspired Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biomes-lighting.md) - [Stunning Mushroom-Shaped Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mushroomshaped-table-lamp.md) - [Bulbous Whimsical Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neotenic.md) - [Sand Dune-Inspired Sculptural Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dune-light.md) - [Physics-Based Artful Light Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aura-collection-1.md) - [Plant Pod-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nature-inspired-pendant-light.md) - [Moon-Inspired Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lua.md)
