# Dual-Screened Laptops Lenovo ThinkPad W700ds Shows Off Slide-Out Display (CES 2009) By Elsa Blaine | Published 2009-01-11 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dual-screened-laptops-lenovo-thinkpad-w700ds-has-slide-out-side-display References: [popgadget.net](http://www.popgadget.net/2009/01/lenovo_launches.php) & [lenovo](http://www.lenovo.com/us/en/) The new [Lenovo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lenovo-thinkbook-flip) ThinkPad W700ds has a [dual-screen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dualscreen-gaming-laptop). This is a useful feature I can get excited about. The central screen measures 17” and the supplementary slide-out display supplies 10” of additional viewing. The downfall I guess it that the laptop now has to be half an inch thicker to accommodate the storage of the second screen, leading to its heavy 11-lb weight. According to Popgadget the computer’s cost will start at a whopping $3663.
