# Ergonomically Arrangeable Pillows This Dual Pillow Can Configure into Many Forms By Jen Chae | Published 2013-07-23 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dual-pillow References: [unikia](http://unikia.com/2013/07/flip/) & [unikia](http://unikia.com) This [dual pillow](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloud-9-pillow) has two parts that are separated and configurable. The smaller top part can freely be adjusted to change the overall shape of the pillow. Unlike other cushions that are normally round, the Flip pillow by Norwegian design studio Unikia is more practical and convenient to use in many scenarios. Sometimes you want to [rest your head on a pillow](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/prone-pillow-zzz) in the car, against a chair, a wall or flat down on the couch when watching TV. The Flip lets you rest comfortably by adapting to the shape you need at a certain time. When resting on a chair, the red pillow can be pushed back perpendicularly so that it rests on the edge of the couch and stays put. When arranged into an L-shape, the pillow positions itself like a stand, letting you lie on an angle even on a flat surface. This would be perfect for watching TV. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.1/10 - Popularity: 91% | Activity: 83% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Configurable Pillows:** The ability to adjust the shape of pillows based on individual preferences opens up opportunities for personalized comfort and support. - **Practical Cushions:** The development of cushions that are more practical and convenient in various scenarios can enhance user experiences and satisfaction. - **Versatile Resting Solutions:** Versatile pillows that can adapt to different resting positions and surfaces provide flexibility and comfort in a range of environments. ### Where This Applies - **Home Furnishings:** The home furnishings industry can incorporate the concept of configurable pillows to offer customized and adaptable bedding solutions. - **Automotive Accessories:** In the automotive industry, configurable pillows can be designed to provide comfortable head support during car journeys and adapt to various seating positions. - **Hospitality & Travel:** The hospitality and travel industries can benefit from practical cushions that offer personalized comfort to guests, whether in hotels, airplanes, or other accommodations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Two-In-One Neck Pillows Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neck-pillow-lounge.md) - [Adventurous Versatile Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flipster-seat.md) - [Ultra-Soft Convertible Pillows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/butterfly-sleep-pillow.md) - [Adaptive Ergonomic Pillows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tripal.md) - [Adaptive Ergonomic Bed Pillows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ostrichpillow-bed-pillow.md) - [Multi-Purpose Travel Pillows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allinone-travel-pillow-system.md) - [Noodle-Shaped Foam Pillows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adjustable-memory-foam-pillow.md) - [Customizable Pocket Pillows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sururu-pillow-p17.md) - [Hybrid Thermoregulation Pillows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stack-pillow.md)
