This camera can shoot [full 1080p video](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/video-camera) while completely submerged [underwater](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/divevolk-seatouch-4-max-platinum). Normally water of any kind is a death sentence for electronics, but the Sanyo Dual Camera Xacti relishes the wetness, shooting video and even taking 14mp still shots all while being under the sea. I guess it’s true what they say, everything *is* better when you get wetter. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 24% | Activity: 39% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/photography) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Waterproof Cameras:** There is potential for companies to develop new and improved waterproof cameras that can go even deeper and capture higher quality footage. - **Underwater Photography:** With the emergence of cameras that can capture high-quality footage and photos underwater, there is a potential for the development of underwater photography as a dedicated field. - **Extreme Sports Equipment:** As waterproof cameras become more advanced, there is a potential for companies to develop equipment that can withstand extreme conditions and capture footage of extreme sports more easily. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Consumer Electronics:** There is an opportunity for companies in the consumer electronics industry to develop more advanced waterproof cameras for both casual and professional use. - **Photography:** As underwater photography gains popularity, there may be opportunities for the photography industry to specialize in this field and develop new techniques and equipment. - **Sports and Recreation:** Waterproof cameras offer a new way to capture extreme sports footage, and companies in the sports and recreation industry can take advantage of this by developing specialized equipment for athletes and adventurers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dual-Lens Action Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/siren-x1.md) - [Ultra-Durable Action Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/insta360-x5.md) - [Pocket-Friendly UHD Action Cams](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/5k-action-camera.md) - [High-End Imaging Action Cams](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qoocam-3.md) - [4K-Enabled Underwater Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/4kenabled-underwater-drone.md) - [Durable Waterproof Action Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/akaso-brave-8-4k.md) - [8K 360-Degree Action Cams](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/insta360-x4.md) - [Extreme Condition Creator Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xtra-atto.md) - [Low-Light Marine-Grade HD Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hd-camera-system.md)
