What I mean by this is that it is still boasts [simple and elegant lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biboni-sofa) despite the fact that it can be [shifted and rearranged](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hulala-home-elitenest) for the benefit of the sitter. Designed by Alfredo Häberli for de Sede, the DS-480 Sofa is based on de Sede’s acclaimed 90-degree swivel function. Inspired by the interior of fast cars, the DS-480 Sofa definitely has a sporty look to it. I would even go as far as to say that it looks like it was plucked right out of a sports car. This isn't a stretch when you consider the DS-480 Sofa's stainless steel base and the impeccable details of the [elaborate leatherwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poet-sofa). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 30% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Adjustable Leather Seating:** The trend of adjustable leather seating offers a versatile and stylish furniture option for consumers. - **Sports Car-inspired Design:** The trend of sports car-inspired design in furniture brings a sleek and luxurious aesthetic into the home. - **Innovative Swivel Function:** The trend of innovative swivel function in furniture allows for customizable and comfortable seating arrangements. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The furniture manufacturing industry can capitalize on the trend of adjustable leather seating by creating innovative and customizable pieces. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can integrate sports car-inspired design trends into their projects to create a modern and luxurious space. - **Automotive:** The automotive industry can collaborate with furniture manufacturers to create furniture pieces that incorporate elements of sports car design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hybrid Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adaptable-sofa-system.md) - [Rounded Modular Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smooth-sofa.md) - [Curvaceous Modular Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blocks-modular-sofa.md) - [Voluptuous Texture Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bretz-balaao.md) - [Curved Bed-Inspired Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/velar-sofa.md) - [Modular Triangular Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moooi-peaks-sofa.md) - [High Performance Gaming Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gaming-sofa-deluxe.md) - [Organic Contour Couch Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/siwa-sofa.md) - [Systematic Seating Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hybla-seating-system.md)
