It is the brainchild of French drummer, musician and music teacher Patrice Bardin. There are two versions of Drumstooled—the first comes with a 6 mm-thick acrylic shell with a chrome-plated drum hoop and transparent head, while the second comes with an American Maple shell, wood drum hoop and a white head. The acrylic Drumstooled has a built-in LED system that adds further pizzazz to [live performances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lava-studio). Both versions have [height-adjustable drum thrones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loki-stool), but the Maple model’s version is covered with fancy faux leather instead of acrylic. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 22% | Activity: 70% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Multifunctional Musical Instruments:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Designing musical instruments that combine multiple functions to enhance convenience and versatility for musicians. - **Integration of Technology in Musical Instruments:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporating LED systems and other technological features into musical instruments to elevate live performances. - **Customizable Drum Thrones:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating drum thrones with adjustable height and customizable features, such as different materials and finishes. ### Who This Affects Most - **Musical Instruments Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Manufacturers can explore the creation of multifunctional musical instruments that offer enhanced convenience to musicians. - **Live Performance Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Companies specializing in live performance technology can develop and integrate LED systems and other technological features into musical instruments. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Furniture manufacturers can delve into the production of customizable drum thrones that cater to the specific needs and preferences of musicians. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stackable Cork-Like Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drum-stool-1.md) - [Futuristic Flatpack Drum Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/future-drum-kit.md) - [Movement-Tracking Air Drums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-drums.md) - [Guitar-Holding Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guitarholding-bench.md) - [Noise-Reducing Digital Drum Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roland-vdrums-quiet-design.md) - [Drum Practice Tracker Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drumbitious.md) - [Modular Workspace Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/versatile-stool-design.md) - [Budget-Friendly Percussion Pads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/percussion-pad.md) - [Wheeled Bright Stumpy Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stump-stool-1.md)
