Designer Alexander Matyuk has created DROP, a conceptual shoehorn shaped around the moment a [water droplet strikes a surface](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/raindrop-1). The object features a tall conical body paired with a shallow curved base that references expanding ripple patterns. A curved shoehorn blade extends from the upper section, while the elongated structure allows users to put on shoes without bending. The form stands between 550 and 700 millimeters tall and is designed as a freestanding object that remains visible within entry spaces rather than stored on hooks or brackets.

DROP incorporates a [lead-weighted internal base](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fin) that allows the shoehorn to behave like a roly-poly toy, returning upright after being tilted or pushed. Matyuk developed the concept in aluminum alloy for a premium version alongside a proposed composite or polymer production model for wider manufacturing. The concept also includes transparent, smoked, and brushed metal finish variations across the curved monolithic form.
