As a father to daughters who love the universe that J.K. Rowling created for Harry Potter, Irvine is familiar with the idea of a Dementor. As such, he strung together a few [Halloween decorations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beetlejuice-character) and attached them to a drone by fishing line, creating a simple, yet scary recreation of the "non-being" from the magical universe. The recreated soul-sucking dark creature was flown around Irvine's neighborhood, effectively scaring people whether or not they are aware of its likeness to a Dementor from the Harry Potter world. Those who look just above the dark silhouette of the creature will see a [hovering drone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hoverair-x1-pro), revealing how the creature is able to float as if by magic. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.1/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 90% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Pranks](https://www.trendhunter.com/pranks) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Halloween Drones:** There is an opportunity for drone companies to create customizable Halloween drones for pranking and entertainment purposes. - **Magical Recreation Drones:** Drones can be used to create magical or fictional creatures, like the Dementor, to bring people's imagination to life. - **Fantasy Decor Drones:** Decorations for other events, such as birthday parties or weddings, can be recreated using drones to create a unique and personalized effect. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Drone Manufacturing:** Drone manufacturers can offer customizable drone designs that appeal to customers’ specific interests or use occasion. - **Entertainment Industry:** The entertainment industry can utilize drones to create magical or fictional creatures for movies, plays, or themed entertainment parks and events. - **Party and Event Planning:** Event planners can use drones to create unique and personalized event decor, setting their services apart from those of competitors. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Crow-Shaped Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hooded-crow.md) - [Drone-Created Gingerbread Light Shows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gingerbread-village-in-the-sky.md) - [Heavy-Duty Hybrid Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hybrid-drones.md) - [Rounded Bi-Rotor Ducted Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cleo-dronut-x1.md) - [Spooky Dessert Halloween Decorations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dunkin-spider-donut-inflatable.md) - [Ultrasonic Balloon-Borne Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blimp-drone.md) - [Drone-Themed Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drone-themed-bed.md) - [Customized Volcano-Monitoring Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/littleraven.md) - [Water-Based Entertainment Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arivia-watersurface-drone.md)
