Featuring 100 flying drones, the event was appropriately dubbed 'Drone 100.' Tech giant Intel had previously conducted a similar drone light show in Germany and in fact needed special approval from the [FAA](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dji-mini-4-pro) in order to carry out Drone 100 in Palm Springs, CA. Brian Krzanich, Intel's CEO, foresees drone light shows becoming common in the future, with 1,000 or more lighted UAVs flying over stadiums and large-population events across North America and the world. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 76% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Drone Light Shows:** Incorporation of drones in high-tech light performances will become an increasingly popular trend for events and entertainment business professionals. - **Large-scale Drone Choreography:** Developing choreographed drone performances with large quantities operating simultaneously presents new opportunities for innovative tech solutions and event planning services. - **Integrating Art and Technology:** Combining artistic ability with the latest drone technology could lead to innovative and visually-stunning performances, inspiring a new wave of art and technology innovation in the entertainment industry. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Event Planning:** With this new technology, event planning services can integrate drone light shows and drone technology into their services, offering a unique experience for clients. - **Entertainment:** The entertainment industry can capitalize on this technology by incorporating drone light shows into their live performances and creating new types of shows that could attract more audiences and increase revenue flow. - **Drone Design & Development:** The creation of new drones that are lighter, faster and with greater range are needed to support future drone performances of larger scales and more complex designs, leading to further advancements in drone technology. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Drone-Created Gingerbread Light Shows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gingerbread-village-in-the-sky.md) - [Water-Based Entertainment Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arivia-watersurface-drone.md) - [Dragon-Themed Drone Light Shows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/legend-of-the-dragon-gate.md) - [Illuminated Drone Shows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/very-ralph-documentary.md) - [Drone Marketing Initatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drone-shows.md) - [Sleek Tech Brand Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-drone.md) - [Heavy Payload-Accommodating Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firefly-drone.md) - [Collaboration Concept Photography Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dji-x-gopro-fpv-cncpt.md) - [Drone-Equipped Electric SUVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/byd-and-dji.md)
