While the traditional counterpart is [a cart with four wheels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roulette-carts), this contemporary take on the piece is just the wheels themselves. Edwards uses oak for her innovative product. A yellow accent is added for a cheery embellishment. The storage compartment of the [circular drink cabinet](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-spinning-coffee-table) is sandwiched between the two sizable wheels. The design accommodates a bottle holder, a glass tray, as well as a tool pocket. Dubbed 'ROWND,' the design is an elaborate and stylish take on the drink cabinet which has proven to be a piece that navigates under the radar for contemporary product developers. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 89% | Activity: 58% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Circular Furniture Design:** There is a trend towards innovative and unconventional circular designs in furniture, creating opportunities for unique and stylish products. - **Functional Minimalism:** The trend of functional minimalism in furniture design opens up opportunities to create multi-purpose pieces that maximize storage and functionality. - **Sustainable Materials:** The growing trend of using sustainable materials like oak in furniture design creates opportunities for eco-friendly and socially responsible products. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** The furniture design industry can explore circular designs, functional minimalism, and sustainable materials to create innovative and appealing products. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate circular furniture designs, functional minimalism, and sustainable materials to create unique and stylish spaces. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can tap into the trends of circular furniture designs, functional minimalism, and sustainable materials to offer customers modern and environmentally conscious options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [All-in-One Timber Bar Carts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moba-drinks-trolley.md) - [Thoughtful Wheeling Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabinet-on-wheels.md) - [Wine Storage Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roll-side-table.md) - [Contemporary Home Party Trolley](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-diner.md) - [Luxurious Bar Carts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxurious-bar-cart.md) - [Playful Rotating Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/giralot-rotating-storage.md) - [Cabinet Drawer Wine Bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dometic-drawbar.md) - [Colorful Contemporary Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/runda-tables.md) - [Cocktail-Resembling Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocktail-chair.md)
