The conceptual 'Drilling Water-Scraper' is an architectural design that would work to aid with the shift away from fossil fuels to a new type of energy that's located deep at the bottom of our oceans.

The skyscraper would work by being [positioned in the ocean](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smrket) and harnessing the emissions of combustible ice that is believed to be found in abundance. The upper section of the skyscraper would work to capture [ocean plastics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/breathing-sea-wall) to make it an eco-focused solution that would solve a number of issues upon implementation. The building would also incorporate 3D printing technology that would make use of the plastic waste for filament.

The conceptual 'Drilling Water-Scraper' is the design work of Xuejun Bai, Chucheng Pang, Lei Zhai, Yuyang Sun and Dianao Liu, and received an honorable mention at the 2020 eVolo Skyscraper Competition.
