# Enchanting Suburb Captures Alexis Mirer Brings New Life to Run-of-the-Mill Youthful Years By Andrew Loh | Published 2011-10-31 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dreamy-suburb-captures1 References: [mymodernmet](http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/living-in-a-serene-dream) I don’t know about you, but gone are my Monday blues after looking at the [series of lively images](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/profiles-in-color) by 19-year-old Alexis Mirer, a [self-taught photographer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/still-life-1) and a creative writing student in Jacksonville, Florida. Dreamy and simply beautiful, the series of pictures depict the carefree life of a happy-go-lucky teenage girl, as well as the sight and sound of the suburb. While I like every single picture here by Kirer, I especially love the one where this girl is seen riding her bicycle under the night sky, with the bright lights from the sparklers casting a magical touch to the overall image. Then there is another rather [vintage-esque picture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/all-within-the-detour), which shows boxes of fresh flowers and some floral arrangements in the SUV. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 46% | Activity: 25% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z - Top markets: South America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/photography) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Youthful Photography:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop new photography techniques or filters specifically catering to capturing the carefree essence of teenage life. - **Suburban Aesthetics:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create home decor or fashion lines that embrace the nostalgic and enchanting elements of suburban living. - **Creative Expression:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design digital platforms or apps that encourage and support self-taught artists and writers to share their work. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Photography:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce innovative camera technologies or editing software that enhance the nostalgic and dreamy qualities of photographs. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a line of products that incorporate vintage and whimsical design elements inspired by suburban aesthetics. - **Digital Content Sharing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a social media platform or online community specifically tailored to fostering the growth and exposure of self-taught artists and writers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Suburban-Inspired Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/suburbaninspired-art-exhibition.md) - [AI-Generated Poetic Photo Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emilio-alarcn.md) - [Summer-Inspired Photo Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/summer-dreaming-collection.md) - [Personal Nostalgic Photo Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holy-ohio.md) - [Public Art Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paul-anthony-smith.md) - [Statement Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1.md) - [Dreamy Apparel Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frankies-bikinis-keepsakes-collection.md) - [Digital City-Inspired Art Works](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grand-central-station.md) - [Vibrantly Colorful Dynamic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kayla-rumpp.md)
