The [NES](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-gaming-box)-themed set comes with the giant Nintendo coffee table, which actually opens up for storage purposes. Beyond that, you get two NES cartridge side tables alongside two controller shaped coasters for food or drinks as well as Mario-themed wooden wall art to complete the ensemble. The entire set is hand painted and will set you back $1,450 USD, which is a small price to pay to show the world just how much of a Nintendo fanboy (or girl!) you truly are. The entire dream living room set is available from [Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scrabble-coffee-table) seller Pixel Art Studios. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 24% | Activity: 28% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/games) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Retro Gaming:** Opportunity for creating more 8-bit-themed furniture inspired by classic video games. - **Geek Culture Merchandise:** Chance to expand the market for furniture and home decor that caters to geeky interests and nostalgia. - **Handcrafted Artisanal Furniture:** Potential for the growth of custom-made, hand-painted furniture pieces for unique and personalized living spaces. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruption opportunity lies in incorporating pop culture and gaming themes into furniture designs. - **E-commerce:** Launching an online marketplace specifically for geek culture merchandise like 8-bit-themed furniture sets. - **Interior Design:** Chance for interior designers to cater to clients seeking unique and nostalgic furniture pieces inspired by retro gaming. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Video Game-Inspired Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pac-man-side-table.md) - [Winter-Ready Gaming Setups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kotatsu-futon-bhk2500kf.md) - [Gaming Console Coffee Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nintendo-fp-coffee-machine.md) - [Organized Gaming Storage Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bauhutte.md) - [Video Game-Inspired Homewares](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-mario-home-adventure-life.md) - [Brick Toy Revivals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/game-boy-set.md) - [Puzzle Video Game Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sara-hyat-tetris-sofa.md) - [Retro Gaming Room Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-gaming-box.md) - [Pillow-Like Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arcade1up-pacman-couchcade.md)
