The switches consist of touch-sensitive control panels that are integrated with illumination accents that react according to how much light intensity is desired. This makes the [light switch a statement piece](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-switches1) rather than something to ignore, which somewhat goes against the traditional norms of decor design in a fun, futuristic way. The 'Dragonfly' switches are the design work of New Deal Design and are also integrated with connectivity to ensure they are capable of being seamlessly connected to your [existing smart home setup](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelly-wall-display-x2i). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 69% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Smart Home Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop advanced lighting control systems that offer customized control and integration with smart home setups. - **Interactive Switches:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create touch-sensitive control panels for switches that incorporate illumination accents and react to user preferences. - **Decor Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Redefine traditional norms of decor design by creating statement pieces like the 'Dragonfly' switches that combine functionality and aesthetics. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Smart Home Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate the 'Dragonfly' switches into smart home technology solutions to enhance lighting control and user experience. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with designers to introduce interactive switches like the 'Dragonfly' that blend seamlessly with various interior design styles. - **Consumer Electronics:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop innovative lighting controllers like the 'Dragonfly' switches that appeal to tech-savvy consumers looking for high-end, customizable options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Socket-Concealing Light Switches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/l1-switch-system.md) - [Smart Dial-Style Light Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/philips-hue-tap-switch.md) - [Tactile Smart Home Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/from-design-concept.md) - [Kinetic Insect Sculpture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dragonfly-balance-light.md) - [Low-Cost Smart Light Switches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wyze-switch.md) - [Interactive Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tap-tap-table-lamp.md) - [Subtle Smart Home Switches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lutron-casta-diva.md) - [Advanced Smart Home Interfaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-home-interfaces.md) - [Physical Smart Home Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flic-twist.md)
