Though an insect's eye is not the most glamorous image, design studio 'WertelOberfell-Platform' has defiantly modeled their Dragonfly.MGX [pendant light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nest-lamp) after one to prove otherwise.

Created using a [3D printer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emil-robbrecht), the Dragonfly.MGX boasts a [honeycomb aesthetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-drape-light) that is completely mesmerizing. On a practical level, the lampshade shields eyes from glare while letting a significant amount of light pass through. According to PSFK, "each piece is individually drawn and created by laser beam, and carefully finished by hand."
