The light boasts a [sculptural construction](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miror-collection) achieved with wooden components with the lighting components hidden in the underside of the dragonfly's wings. The insect sculpture will balance itself in a counterweighted manner on top of a pedestal, while also allowing it to be removed and balanced on other surfaces in the home for a customized appearance. The Dragonfly Balance Light can be set to [spin or move lightly](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/impulse-collection) when placed on the pedestal, which makes it a great fidget fixture for professionals or students to interact with on their desk as they work. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 89% | Activity: 30% | Freshness: 11% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Kinetic Sculpture Decor:** Incorporating movement and kinetic elements into decorative pieces provides new possibilities for functional art. - **Hidden Lighting Designs:** Concealing lighting within art and decor allows for subtle and versatile lighting options. - **Interactive Office Fixtures:** Creating office fixtures with interactive elements provides a new way for professionals to manage stress and focus on work. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can explore creating functional pieces that also serve as kinetic sculptures with hidden lighting components. - **Lighting Design:** Lighting designers can incorporate kinetic and interactive elements into their designs to provide unique and dynamic lighting options. - **Office Furniture:** Office furniture manufacturers can incorporate interactive and kinetic elements into their products to provide stress relief and maintain focus for professionals. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hat-Like Fabric Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-lamp.md) - [Origami-Inspired Vase Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gingko-smart-vase-light.md) - [Poetic Rippling Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yurameki.md) - [Dynamically Customizable Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illum-desk-light.md) - [Sculptural Wooden Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-lamp.md) - [Zen Workstation Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bonsai-desk-lamp.md) - [Silkworm-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phantom-lighting.md) - [Adjustable Sculptural Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ovo-lamp.md) - [Task-Managing Dynamic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fall-lamp-concept.md)
