A fun project for kids and geeks alike, it will certainly liven up this holiday. Not to mention that it's quite timely considering that the show makes its triumphant return on March 30, 2013. Created by Jacquie LongLegs, the Dragon Egg Easter Eggs ingredients are simple: foam egg, thumb tacks and acrylic paint. Simply layer the thumbtacks on the foam egg until its entire surface is covered. The paint can be used unless people prefer to keep the golden or silver look of the tacks. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 49% | Activity: 48% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [DIY](https://www.trendhunter.com/diy) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Fantasy-inspired Decor:** Opportunity for creating products and designs inspired by famous fantasy franchises like 'Game of Thrones'. - **DIY Easter Crafts:** Growing trend of people engaging in do-it-yourself projects for holiday decorations and gifts. - **Geek Culture Fusion:** Emergence of niche markets that combine traditional holiday themes with popular geek culture references. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Craft and Hobby:** Potential for crafting and hobby industries to develop and market fantasy-inspired DIY products and tutorials. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for home decor industry to offer fantasy-inspired decorative items for holidays and everyday use. - **Entertainment Merchandise:** Possibility for entertainment merchandise industry to create licensed fantasy-themed Easter decorations and collectibles. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Viral Chocolate Easter Eggs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pistachio-kataifi-breton-egg.md) - [Thematic Dragon-Inspired Timepieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dragon-inspired-timepieces.md) - [Paintable Easter Chocolates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/painting-kit-easter-edition.md) - [Breakfast-Inspired Easter Chocolates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chocolate-egg-easter.md) - [Mixed Material Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/resin-dragon-egg-ornament.md) - [Easter Popcorn Treats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ms-fried-egg-choccorn.md) - [Limited-Edition Danish Easter Treats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lakrids-by-blow-gg.md) - [Herbaceous Easter Eggs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garlic-herb-easter-egg.md) - [Pyramid-Shaped Chocolate Eggs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edgy-egg.md)
