He has modified the standard dentist drill to add a [soothing musical component](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sleeping-music-generator) that will help calm his [younger patients](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sensodynes-kidlid) as he works away in their mouths. Living and working in Java, Indonesia, Dr. Dhanni Gustiana rightly assumes that the jarring drill sound can be quite alarming, especially to children. Spending only 6 million rupiah (about $595), he not only made his drill play music, which sounds louder in the mouth, Dr. Dhanni Gustiana also decked it out with [flashing lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/platinum-pro-glow-teeth) and cute rubber toys for added distraction. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 7% | Activity: 44% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Health](https://www.trendhunter.com/health) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Musical Dental Tools:** Integrating music into dental tools can help alleviate anxiety and create a more pleasant experience for patients. - **Enhanced Patient Experience:** Adding features like flashing lights and cute rubber toys to dental tools can provide distractions and create a more enjoyable atmosphere for patients. - **Child-friendly Dentistry:** Developing dental tools specifically designed to cater to children's needs and fears can help build trust and reduce anxiety in young patients. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Dentistry:** Dentists can incorporate technology and innovation into their practice to improve patient comfort and satisfaction. - **Medical Equipment Manufacturing:** Manufacturers can explore the creation of specialized dental tools that integrate music, lights, and toys to cater to different patient demographics and enhance the overall dental experience. - **Pediatric Healthcare:** Pediatric healthcare providers can adopt child-friendly dental tools and techniques to create a more positive and less intimidating environment for young patients. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Spa-Like Dental Clinics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-dental-clinic.md) - [Elevated Dental Boutiques](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paste-dental.md) - [Medical Preparation Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/medical-preparation-toy.md) - [Kinetic Musical Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/musical-bench.md) - [Music-Driven Pleasure Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/groove-thing.md) - [Remote Teeth-Correcting Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dror-orthodesign.md) - [Bright Finger Toothbrush Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dino-brush.md) - [3D-Printed Whole Mouth Flossers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blizzflosser.md) - [Dentist-Focused Video Collaboration Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/digital-dentistry1.md)
