This zombie-killing weapon is a combination of an AK-47 and an electric chainsaw and is guaranteed to stop a zombie in its tracks. The DoubleStar Zombie-X AK-47 isn't just designed for show; this gun means serious business. This modified AK has a drum magazine and a holographic sight complete with a bio-hazard symbol as the reticule. The electric chainsaw is mounted at the barrel of the gun and is the perfect length for a [melee weapon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pink-soldier-saber). DoubleStar's previous and less awesome zombie killer, the DSC Zombie Slayer, sold for $1,249, so it's reasonable to expect pricing slightly higher. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.7/10 - Popularity: 71% | Activity: 91% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Zombie-fighting Weapons:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the weapons industry to create specialized tools for combating zombies. - **Modified Firearms:** Potential for disruptive innovation in gun customization to meet specific needs, such as combining an AK-47 with an electric chainsaw. - **Zombie Apocalypse Preparedness:** Growing trend in products and services catering to individuals and organizations preparing for a hypothetical zombie outbreak. ### Who This Affects Most - **Weapons:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in the creation of specialized tools for self-defense against zombies. - **Gun Customization:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in modifying firearms to meet the unique needs and preferences of users. - **Emergency Preparedness:** Emerging industry catering to individuals and organizations seeking to be ready for a zombie apocalypse or other disasters. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Camper Multitool Axes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zombinator-survival-hatchet.md) - [Zombie Survival Challenges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bullets-brains.md) - [Carbon Fiber Handle Axes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-reaper-damascus-axe.md) - [Horde Survival Game Updates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vampire-survivors-operation-guns.md) - [4-in-1 Gel Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unlocx-gel-blaster.md) - [Luminous Fixed-Blade Knife](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/r4a.md) - [Fashionable Zombie Dolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zombaes-critter-chaos.md) - [Adult-Targeted Foam Disc Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disc-blaster.md) - [Elegant Design-Forward Japanese Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/japanese-knives.md)
