People have done many impressive things in the name of science, and this 10,000 balloon recreation of a double helix DNA strand certainly qualifies.

The double helix replica is dubbed 'Pisces' by artist Jason Hackenwerth. The piece was on display at the Edinburgh International Science Festival in the [National Museum of Scotland](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/this-is-air). Aside from using 10,000 balloons, the construction took Hackenwerth and his team six days to put the double helix balloon sculpture together.

Next time I'm at a kid's birthday party with a balloon animal-making clown, I'm going to forget all about [balloon animals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balloon-dog) and I'm going to demand a double helix balloon sculpture instead.
