The refrigerator has a curtain-inspired set of doors that can be opened at the middle section by slipping the hand into the handle section to draw them open like a window covering. This helps to further enhance the user experience of an appliance that gets used many times throughout the day. The conceptual 'Crevice' double door fridge is the design work of Kim Hyunsoec of the hs2 design studio. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.5/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Kitchen](https://www.trendhunter.com/kitchen) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Curtain-inspired Kitchen Appliances:** Designing kitchen appliances with curtain-inspired elements can elevate the aesthetic appeal of the space and create a unique user experience. - **Matte Black Finishes:** Matte black finishes offer a sleek and modern look for appliances, making them more desirable for discerning urbanites. - **Seamless Design:** Creating appliances with seamless designs that can blend in with other furnishings in the space can help increase their appeal and marketability. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Appliances:** Opportunities for disruptive innovation in the home appliance industry by incorporating new and unique design elements. - **Interior Design:** Incorporating unique and trendy appliances into interior design can become a selling point and increase the value of the space. - **Urban Living:** Creating appliances that cater to the needs and desires of urbanites can lead to a competitive advantage in the market. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Compartmentalized Smart Refrigerators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aura-refrigerator.md) - [Flat Finish Kitchen Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sidebyside-refrigerator.md) - [Sleek Food Display Fridges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kollect-smart.md) - [Monochromatic Handle-Hiding Ovens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hide-oven.md) - [Four-Door-Designed Refrigerators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fourdoordesigned-refrigerator.md) - [Convertible Under-Counter Fridges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/signature-kitchen-suite-mantle.md) - [Premium Column Refrigerators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bespoke-infinite-line-refrigerator.md) - [Sleek Contemporary Smart Fridges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-smart-fridge.md) - [Sleek Double-Door Refrigerators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/double-door-refrigerator.md)
