The security camera features a Passive Infrared sensor that is able to distinguish between humans, animals and other things that move around in front of your doorway (leaves, debris etc.). This makes the unit able to only alert you when a person approaches the doorway to eliminate the occurrence of constant distractions every time a bit of motion is detected. The 'DoorCam' security camera streams content in 720p HD quality and boasts a completely wireless design to let you install it on any entryway door in your home or the entrance to your condo or apartment. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.8/10 - Popularity: 62% | Activity: 74% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Infrared Security Cameras:** Infrared technology can be integrated with security cameras to offer advanced detection capabilities. - **Wireless Security Cameras:** Wireless security cameras are a great option for consumers because they offer flexible installation options. - **Smart Home Security:** Smart home security systems are becoming increasingly popular as they offer convenience and enhanced safety features. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Security:** The home security industry can leverage advanced technology like infrared sensors to offer better protection to consumers. - **Wireless Technology:** Wireless technology is being integrated with various industries to offer more flexibility and convenience to consumers. - **Smart Home Technology:** Smart home technology is a growing industry that offers numerous opportunities for innovation in the home security space. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Heat Detection Doorbells](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-wireless-video-doorbell.md) - [Peephole Doorbell Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ring-peephole-cam.md) - [Dual-Lens Video Doorbells](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lindo-dualcam-video-doorbell-2k.md) - [Camera-Equipped Door Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plus-link-z-concept.md) - [Smart Doorbell Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aqara-g410.md) - [Nature-Friendly Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reli-light-cam-d1.md) - [Dual-Camera Security Doorbells](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eufy-security-video-doorbell-e340.md) - [Garage-Monitoring Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wyze-cam-v3-garage-door-controller.md) - [AI-Powered Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ezviz-c6-security-camera.md)
