These handles are designed to easily be integrated into or replace existing handles to increase overall cleanliness. OpenClean Technologies' solutions include systems like the TurnClean and PullClean, which are suited for different venues like restaurants, hotels, office buildings and bars. As the door handle designs have built-in sanitizers, people don't need to take that one extra step to sanitize their hands. As OpenClean Technologies puts it, this [behavioral design innovation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toilet-lid-closer) is effective in "replacing two separate actions (sanitizing and then opening a door) into one seamless movement." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.8/10 - Popularity: 95% | Activity: 100% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Health](https://www.trendhunter.com/health) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Hand Sanitizing Door Handles:** The integration of hand sanitizers into door handle designs offers a convenient and efficient way to promote cleanliness. - **Behavioral Design Innovation:** The seamless combination of sanitizing and opening a door in one action reduces the barrier for individuals to practice good hygiene. - **Hygiene Solutions for High-traffic Venues:** Door handle designs with built-in sanitizers are particularly beneficial for restaurants, hotels, office buildings, and bars that experience heavy foot traffic. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Hospitality:** Hotels and restaurants can enhance customer satisfaction and safety by adopting hand sanitizing door handle designs. - **Healthcare:** Medical facilities can utilize hand sanitizing door handles to minimize the risk of infection transmission among patients and staff. - **Commercial Real Estate:** Office buildings and commercial spaces can promote a hygienic environment by installing door handles with integrated sanitizers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hands-Free Door Handle Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/safe-lever-door-opener.md) - [AI-Powered Sanitizer Dispensers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/igiene-hand-sanitizer-dispenser.md) - [Discreet Sanitizing Dispensers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vola.md) - [Touch-Free Santizing Pens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/touch-free-pen.md) - [Shopping Cart Disinfecting Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sliball.md) - [Fast Automatic Hand Sanitizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aliya-hand-sanitizer.md) - [Dedicated Cleaning Tool Sanitizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sterilizer-2022.md) - [Hands-Free Home Doors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/milda-evolve-door.md) - [Artistic Public Air Sterilizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/venue-smart-commercial-air-sanitisation-device.md)
