Design house Xcassia unveiled its architectural plans for the [second tallest skyscraper in Africa](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/villa-miami), the Zanzibar Domino Commercial Tower.

This unique tower will sit on an [artificial island](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/safdie-architects-1) off the west coast of the Zanzibar archipelago. The structure will be an expansive 370,000 square meters with the hope of becoming a popular tourist destination. The design was inspired by the [popular Dominos Game](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pompidou-show) and is made of 360 domino-like pieces that rise towards a lookout platform.

The director of Xcassia, Jean-Paul Cassia, has dreamed of designing a tower with this shape as it evokes a special memory of playing dominos with his children and late father. In addition, the design is meant to evoke a sense of freedom, progress, and growth. The all-encompassing master plan features leisure, residential, entertainment, and retail spaces.
