This carpet features a calming scene of cute marine mammals swimming among spirally waves under a bright sun. During the day this rug serves as a charming room decoration. However, when the moon comes out and it's time for bed, this floor mat wakes up and [glows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-bulb). The benefit to this [large carpet covering the floor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rugello-by-kleentex), is when a kid wakes up to use the bathroom, they'll know exactly where to walk without the risk of bumping into dressers and nightstands in the dark. This Dolphin Glowy Rug is a great motivator to encourage kids to stay in their own rooms at night. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.9/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 12% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Alpha - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Glow-in-the-dark Products:** Creating glow-in-the-dark products for children's bedrooms provides a unique and fun way to enhance the sleeping experience. - **Child-focused Home Decor:** Designing home decor items specifically for children helps create a more customized and enjoyable living space for kids. - **Nighttime Safety Solutions:** Developing products that improve nighttime safety, such as illuminated carpets, reduces potential accidents and enhances peace of mind. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can explore new opportunities by designing and manufacturing innovative products for children's bedrooms. - **Children's Furniture:** The children's furniture industry can incorporate glow-in-the-dark features in their designs to attract young customers and differentiate themselves. - **Safety Products:** The safety products industry can develop creative solutions like illuminated carpets to address nighttime safety concerns for children and their parents. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Artistic Gen Alpha Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moooi-carpets.md) - [Rechargeable Multicolored Dinosaur Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/globe-electric.md) - [Color-Matching Night Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angelcare-magical-dreams-lumicolor-bear.md) - [Slithering Serpent Floor Coverings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lorien-stern-snakes-rugs.md) - [Astronaut Night Light Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/night-light-projectors.md) - [Machine-Washable Shag Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/machine-washable-shag-rugs.md) - [Desert-Inspired Floor Coverings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dune-rug.md) - [Young-Artist Graphic Rug Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lineslineslines.md) - [Sea Creature Study Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pirate-shark-study-desk.md)
