The Divina Cucina collection, unveiled at [Milan Design Week](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/il-salotto-milanese), includes range hoods, ovens and a decorated version of Smeg's [FAB28](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fab28) fridge that pay tribute to Italy's culture and heritage. While some of the pieces in the collection adopt cool tones inspired by white-glazed pottery, others embrace a warm orange scheme that introduces fruits alongside geometric shapes. While large appliances for the home like ovens and refrigerators are commonly designed in stainless steel, black, white and other neutral finishes, the pieces from the Divina Cucina collection will undoubtedly stand as a high-end, designer focal point of one's kitchen. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 97% | Activity: 92% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Ornate Kitchen Appliances:** The collaboration between Dolce & Gabbana and Smeg introduces large-scale appliances adorned with ornate Italian-inspired elements, disrupting the traditional design of kitchen appliances. - **Cultural Tribute in Design:** The Divina Cucina collection pays tribute to Italy's culture and heritage through its use of colors, patterns, and motifs, providing an opportunity for cultural-inspired disruptive innovation in the home appliance industry. - **High-end Designer Focal Point:** The Divina Cucina collection offers a range of appliances that serve as high-end, designer focal points in the kitchen, presenting an opportunity for luxury brands to disrupt the traditional market with opulent and visually striking designs. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Appliance:** The collaboration between Dolce & Gabbana and Smeg introduces a new wave of ornate and culturally-inspired kitchen appliances that disrupts the traditional home appliance industry. - **Luxury Brand:** Luxury brands can explore disruptive innovation opportunities by incorporating opulent and visually striking designs into their home appliance collections, following the success of the collaboration between Dolce & Gabbana and Smeg. - **Cultural Design:** The use of cultural motifs and design elements in the Divina Cucina collection presents an opportunity for the cultural design industry to collaborate with appliance manufacturers and introduce disruptive innovation in the kitchen appliance market. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Gold-Accented Home Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smeg-x-ovo.md) - [Brightly Colored Luxe Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fab28.md) - [Automotive-Enthused Kitchen Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/porsche-x-smeg.md) - [Modern Home Appliance Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/essence-white.md) - [Earth-Toned Kitchen Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchenaid-heart-hand-with-magnolia.md) - [Motorsport Kitchen Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-porsche-x-smeg.md) - [Eye-Catching Italian Cookware Ranges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smeg-cookware.md) - [Convertible Under-Counter Fridges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/signature-kitchen-suite-mantle.md) - [Celebratory Champagne-Branded Fridges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smeg-veuve-clicquot.md)
