# Ringtones For Dogs Oh Wait, People Don't Speak 'Dog' By Cowbag | Published 2008-07-27 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-only-ringtones-more-high-tech-stuff-for-dogs References: [weirdasianews](http://www.weirdasianews.com/2008/06/25/dog-whistle-cellphones/) Similar to the dog doorbell, this phone ringtone is made specifically for dogs. Does that mean you can call your dog? If so, it pains me to post an article like this because I think it would only work for clever dogs. My dog 'treads on his own ears' and needs me to constantly rescue him. Dwango is a craze from Tokyo (where else) who is about to start marketing ring tones only dogs. The name of this service is a bit of a mouthful, called “Inu ni shika kikoenai chakushinon” (ringtones only dogs can hear). They will be offered as a free downloads. I have no idea why this is a good idea! it would make a great PR stunt but there is not a single bit of joking in the description. I can simply imagine all that would happen: my phone would ring, the dog would steal the phone to the gardern, and I would miss everyone who tried to call me. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 18% | Activity: 47% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Dog-focused Technology:** Create innovative tech products and services specifically for dogs, like custom ringtones. - **Pet Entertainment:** Develop unique forms of entertainment for pets, such as dog-specific ringtones. - **Personalized Pet Products:** Offer customized products for pets, including personalized ringtones for dogs. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Pet Technology:** Explore opportunities to create dog-focused technology products and services. - **Entertainment:** Tap into the growing market for pet entertainment with unique offerings like dog ringtones. - **Personalized Products:** Cater to the demand for personalized pet products, such as customized ringtones for dogs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [High-Frequency Radio Ads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/morrisons-ad.md) - [Dog-Friendly Food Ads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/natural-balance-pet-food.md) - [Connected Dog Entertainment Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dogsplay-entertainment-system.md) - [Personalized Dog Music](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dogmusic-ai.md) - [Connective Canine Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-park-app.md) - [Pooch-Preferring Dating Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dating-app-for-dog-lovers.md) - [Dog Training Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puppyclicks.md) - [App-Connected Dog Training Buttons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ipuppee.md) - [Diverse Ringtone Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ringtone-maker-wallpaper.md)
