# Alien Pooch Accessories This Yoda Dog Costume Gives the Illusion of Jedi Mastery By Alyson Wyers | Published 2013-09-08 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-costume References: [fancy](http://fancy.com/things/443941274454597081/Star-Wars-Yoda-Dog-Headband) & [petco](http://www.petco.com/product/122971/STAR-WARS-Yoda-Dog-Headband.aspx) This dog costume is a Yoda headband. The Star Wars pooch accessory gives man's best friend green Yoda-like ears and some fuzzy white hair. This is an easy way to dress up your canine friend without overdoing it. The authentic galactic gear will give your pet the appearance of sage wisdom, even if he or she is doing something less than intelligent, like eating shoes or chasing tails. The dog costume features an adjustable elastic strap that fits underneath the chin. The ears are also super comfortable, as long as your pet is the costume-wearing type. The headband is not intended for children and should only be on your dog for a limited amount of time and under supervision. Materials could be harmful if ingested and colors may bleed if wet. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 65% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Canine Costume Trends:** Opportunity for businesses to create a wide range of dog costumes inspired by popular culture, allowing pet owners to express their pets' personalities. - **Pet Accessories Market:** Businesses can tap into the growing market of unique and trendy accessories for pets, offering a variety of options to cater to pet owners' preferences and styles. - **Safe and Comfortable Pet Fashion:** The demand for pet fashion that prioritizes safety, comfort, and functionality presents an opportunity for businesses to create innovative and high-quality pet accessories. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Pet Retail:** Retailers can explore the pet accessories industry, offering a diverse range of products to meet the demand for trendy and unique options for pets. - **E-commerce:** Online platforms can cater to the growing market of pet owners looking for convenient and customized accessories, providing a wide selection of canine costumes and pet fashion. - **Pet Entertainment:** Companies in the pet entertainment industry can develop interactive and engaging experiences centered around pet fashion and costumes, allowing owners to immerse their pets in exciting narratives. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Wine-Themed Pet Costumes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/franzia-wines-x-bark.md) - [Recipe-Inspired Dog Costumes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crescent-mummy-dog-costume.md) - [Transforming Sci-Fi Plush Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pillow-pets-star-wars-chewbacca.md) - [Holographic Pet Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holographic-pet-accessories.md) - [Sci-Fi Franchise-Inspired Fashion](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-collection-2.md) - [Superhero-Inspired Pet Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/warner-bros-1.md) - [Sci-Fi-Branded Special-Edition Earbuds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audio-technica-r2-d2.md) - [Retro Athletic Pet Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-accessories-collection.md) - [Highly Detailed Sci-Fi Costumes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stormtrooper-kit.md)
