# Side Dish Soakers The DNA + Erosion Shower Serves Up a Sophisticated Cleansing Experience By Amelia Roblin | Published 2011-11-28 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dna-erosion-shower References: [trendir](http://www.trendir.com/archives/005918.html#more) & [dna-plus](http://www.dna-plus.com/erosion-shower-collection/sher1-shower) I can't speak for men, but many women dream of a bathroom that presents itself as a [home spa](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/logica-plus). The DNA+ Erosion Shower is fit for installation in domestic washrooms, yet its crisp, clean and serene design looks as if it has come straight out of a health club. The piece is of the flush base variety, remaining level against the flooring that surrounds it. Eliminating obstacles and physical interruptions for bare feet to step over, the [modular unit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-spot) embraces a oneness with the larger room. It looks quite elegant when closed off with a transparent glass panel from floor to ceiling. A round recess can be found within the DNA+ Erosion Shower. It references the name as if drops of water have gradually worn down the surface around the drain. A [circular dish](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aretusa-tub-by-claudio-papa) is placed next to it to hold soaps, shampoo and more. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.5/10 - Popularity: 19% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Home Spa Bathrooms:** Creating bathroom spaces that resemble home spas to provide relaxation and rejuvenation experiences for individuals at home. - **Crisp and Clean Design:** Embracing minimalist and elegant designs to create a serene and sophisticated aesthetic in bathroom spaces. - **Flush Base Showers:** Designing showers with flush bases to eliminate obstacles and provide a seamless and accessible experience for users. ### Who This Affects Most - **Bathroom Design and Renovation:** Opportunity for innovators in the bathroom design and renovation industry to offer products and services that transform bathrooms into spa-like spaces. - **Luxury Home Decor and Furnishings:** Potential for luxury home decor and furnishings companies to create products that promote a clean and elegant aesthetic in bathroom spaces. - **Plumbing and Fixtures Manufacturing:** Opportunities for plumbing and fixtures manufacturers to develop innovative shower designs that feature flush bases and incorporate elegant and minimalist elements. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hygiene-Focused Shower Head Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/showerclear.md) - [Naturally Inspired Body Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sumsei-air-shower.md) - [Aromatherapy Infused Shower Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sprig-shower-infusion-system.md) - [Nature-Inspired Artful Shower Heads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-bathing-collection.md) - [Closed-Loop Bathing Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/upfall-shower.md) - [Fully Integrated Smart Showers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/power-shower-head.md) - [Utility-Focused Bathroom Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/showdown-system.md) - [Modular Shower Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zucchetti-bar-59-shower.md) - [Wellness Retreat Bathroom Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oasis-collection-1.md)
