Resident Rini van Beek uses the additional space to house her office where exquisite appointments make it something of a showcase when admired from the exterior. The existing portion of the structure on the addition side is quite steeply peaked and dmvA kept this silhouette in-tact when creating the new space, and worked with them to further make the extension a more organically feeling spot rather than out of place. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.9/10 - Popularity: 60% | Activity: 49% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Glass Home Extensions:** The trend of using glass walls in home extensions offers a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. - **Exquisite Office Spaces:** The trend of creating luxurious office spaces within home extensions presents opportunities for professionals to design and showcase their work. - **Organically Integrated Extensions:** The trend of seamlessly integrating home extensions with existing structures provides an opportunity for architects to create harmonious and unified designs. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** The architecture industry can explore innovative designs and techniques for glass home extensions, luxurious office spaces, and organically integrated structures. - **Construction:** The construction industry can cater to the demand for glass walls and seamless integration, offering specialized services and materials for home extensions. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can capitalize on the trend of exquisite office spaces by creating unique and visually stunning work environments within home extensions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Extended Timber-Clad Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/villa-vd.md) - [Timber-Clad Home Extensions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thornbury-house.md) - [Concrete Modern Extensions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/t-house-extension.md) - [Curved Vintage Home Extensions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drpa.md) - [London Home Extensions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peekablue.md) - [Gabled Annexe Vintage Cottages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solitgarreau-residence.md) - [Mid-Century Home Modern Extensions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seventies-house.md) - [Semi-Detached Home Extensions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delve-architect.md) - [Tranquil Subdued House Extensions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heliotrope-architects.md)
