# Hanging Lantern-Like Vases This DIY Vase Can Be Hung Just About Anywhere for a Cute Adornment By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2013-04-04 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-vase References: [minieco](http://www.minieco.co.uk/simple-hanging-vase/) When it comes to keeping flowers on the table, a vase is necessary, but this cute DIY vase features several strings for easily hanging it just about anywhere you'd like. I love this concept because I'm not a big fan of having to move a vase of flowers around when I need to use the table. As such, this is a nice alternative to keeping flowers while putting them in otherwise unused space. Simply take a [small glass vase](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/navazi) and strategically wrap the [rope around it](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-hat-collection) before finishing the top off with a small hoop for hanging. Leave the loose ends dangling for a carefree touch and voila; pick some flowers, toss them in the vase and hang it up for a spring-ready [piece of decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vintageinspired-home-object). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 45% | Activity: 8% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Hanging Vases:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the development of hanging vases as a versatile and space-saving alternative to traditional vases. - **DIY Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create DIY home decor products that allow consumers to personalize and decorate their living spaces easily. - **Flexible Floral Arrangements:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop flexible floral arrangements that can be easily hung or displayed in unique ways, offering a fresh take on traditional flower vases. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Embrace the rise of DIY home decor trends and offer innovative products and solutions that cater to consumers' desire for personalized and creative living spaces. - **Floral Industry:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Adapt to the growing demand for flexible and unconventional floral arrangements by diversifying product offerings and exploring unique display options such as hanging vases. - **Craft and Hobby:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Tap into the craft and hobby market by providing DIY kits and supplies for creating hanging vases and other customizable home decor items. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimalist Illusory Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vaso-gota-vase.md) - [Jewelry-Holding Flower Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mirror-vase-stand.md) - [Floating Stem Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lotus-effect-vase.md) - [Miniature Cylindrical Flower Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hanakubari.md) - [Origami-Inspired Vase Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gingko-smart-vase-light.md) - [Multifunctional Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iza-vase.md) - [Artsy Hanging Plants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-air-plant-mobile.md) - [Playful Packaging-Inspired Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/strawberry-milk-vase.md) - [Ocean-Inspired Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-coralshaped-vase.md)
