The project cane about after a class assignment that required students to sandwich two pieces of plastic together. The assignment gave Pabari the idea to build a new kind of educational toy. Pabari's tablet startup MechTech Creations has since taken to creating the ImaginTech Tablet Kit, which is designed to teach children the inner workings of Android tablet, not just its physical components. Once the tablet's hardware is pieced together, children can use the ImaginCoder [visual programming software](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-education-computer-science-ai) to experiment with building their own apps and games. The ImaginTech Tablet Kit includes a 7-inch 1024 x 600 multi-touch display and a 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor. It is equipped with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 51% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/computers) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Edutainment:** The combination of education and entertainment is a trend that is growing in popularity, as seen in the success of the ImaginTech Tablet Kit - **DIY Electronics:** With the rise of DIY electronic kits like the ImaginTech Tablet Kit, there is a trend towards more accessible and hands-on learning opportunities in the tech industry - **Visual Programming:** Visual programming software like the ImaginCoder is a growing trend that is making coding more accessible and appealing to children and beginners ### Sectors Adopting This - **Education:** The ImaginTech Tablet Kit presents an opportunity for tech companies to collaborate with educational institutions to offer more innovative and hands-on learning experiences for children - **Tech Manufacturing:** The rise of DIY electronics and educational toys like the ImaginTech Tablet Kit presents an opportunity for tech manufacturers to create and market products that target the growing trend of hands-on learning - **App Development:** The ImaginTech Tablet Kit's focus on teaching children app development skills presents an opportunity for companies in the software and app development industry to invest in innovative education technology products ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Education-Minded Tablet Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lenovo-tab-p12.md) - [Kid-Focused Educational Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smile-zemi.md) - [Educational AI-Powered Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thinkpal-ai-tablet.md) - [Introductory Connected Device Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plug-and-make-kit.md) - [Entertaining Educational Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alcatel-joy-tab-kids-2.md) - [Autonomous Vehicle Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/autonomous-vehicle-kit.md) - [Child-Targeted Laptop Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compal-studybook.md) - [Child-Friendly Tablet Bundles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-galaxy-tab-a9-kids-edition.md) - [Portable STEM Education Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/augmented-haptics-grasp-it.md)
