Constructed out of a leather material, this planter is a stylish piece of decor. This fashion-forward DIY craft requires a short list of materials which includes: succulents, leather, rope, scissors, a hole puncher, a ruler and a pen. Though the demonstration displays a pale pink leather, the color choice is completely up to the maker. This DIY hanging planter is made to suspend from the ceiling or windowsill. With a luxe planter such as this, any room is given a chic and modern look that can be refashioned by a simple change of material. For an extra stylish look, replace the flower pot with a glass bowl filled with dried flower petals. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 60% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **DIY Hanging Planters:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a range of DIY hanging planters made from different materials to cater to various interior design styles. - **Fashion-forward Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce a line of stylish and trendy home decor items that incorporate unique materials like leather to attract fashion-conscious consumers. - **Personalized Planters:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a platform or service that allows customers to customize and personalize their own hanging planters with different colors, patterns, and designs. ### Who This Affects Most - **Craft and DIY:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop new tools or kits specifically designed for crafting DIY hanging planters to simplify the process for hobbyists and enthusiasts. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with interior designers to create unique hanging planters that seamlessly blend with different design aesthetics and enhance the overall look and feel of a space. - **Home Decor and Accessories:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Launch a collection of modern and chic home decor accessories, including hanging planters, that appeal to design-conscious customers seeking stylish statement pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Disco-Inspired Hanging Planter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disco-ball-plant-hanger.md) - [Demure Dual-Function Hanging Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-fixture-planter.md) - [Eco Abstract Vase Covers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leather-vase.md) - [Artsy Hanging Plants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-air-plant-mobile.md) - [DIY Plant Decor Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/make-it-yourself-plant-stand.md) - [Water Catch-Integrated Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hemisphere.md) - [Trellis-Equipped Indoor Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blume-planter.md) - [Illusory Planter Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rooted-planter.md) - [Futuristic Self-Watering Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-klaustrafloria.md)
