Designed and created by the freelance designer Peter Castellucci, the “Garbage Lamp” is a lamp made of [used, compulsively collected polystyrene drinking cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trashy).

This *do it yourself* concept is simple, [environmentally friendly](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/geolectric-lantern) and easy to implement. All you need is some creativity and used materials. Try it with bottles, plastic plates (taped or glued together side to side).

If it is done right, the garbage/[recycled lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apeel) can look awesome, and at the same time, be super affordable.
