The chair features a durable wooden construction that offers the perfect spot to sit while working and is equipped with an internal section for pets like small dogs or cats to cozy up. The top section is also paired with an extended cushion to offer pets a place to rest right next to their master. The DIY desk chair was rendered in [Fusion 360](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/autodesk-fusion) into a 3D model before being constructed using CNC milling with plywood to make it ready for construction relatively quickly. The unit also features two small drawers hidden in the stairs to store essentials or even dog toys. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.7/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 79% | Freshness: 10% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **DIY Pet-friendly Furniture:** The trend towards easily constructed, pet-friendly furniture can be leveraged by companies to offer customizable ergonomic solutions to remote workers with pets. - **Integrating Pet Amenities:** Companies in the furniture industry can differentiate themselves by integrating pet amenities into their products to cater to the growing number of pet-owners working from home. - **Sustainable Pet Furniture:** The trend towards eco-friendly, sustainable furniture can extend to pet furniture offerings, providing an opportunity for companies to offer innovative, environmentally friendly solutions for pet owners. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** Furniture industry players can design and manufacture pet-friendly chairs, desks and accessories to expand their market reach and increase sales. - **Home Office:** Companies catering to remote home workers can offer pet-friendly furniture options in order to maintain a competitive edge. - **Pet Supplies:** Companies operating in the pet supplies industry can diversify their offerings by providing a range of pet-friendly furniture options for office spaces and home environments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elevated Pet Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-chair.md) - [Dog-Friendly Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/agility-desk.md) - [Demure Dog House Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-hut-desk.md) - [Posh Pet-Friendly Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quella-chair.md) - [Pet-Friendly Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hound-lounge.md) - [Pet Bed-Equipped Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sharing-joy-armchair.md) - [Posh Pet-Friendly Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nomad-juno.md) - [Cat-Friendly Minimal Desk Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-cubby-desk.md) - [Desk Mounted Cat Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ergo-purrch.md)
